Discover Ulm
Ulm, a historic city on the banks of the Danube River, is an impressive stop on the German Jacob's Way. Its profile is dominated by a record-breaking architectural landmark: Ulm Cathedral Tower, which stands at 161.53 meters tall and is the world's tallest church tower. For pilgrims, the possibility of ascending its 768 steps is a rewarding challenge rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of the city and, on clear days, the Alps. The cathedral itself is a masterpiece of Gothic art. Ulm's old town is equally charming, especially the Fishers' and Butchers' Quarter (Fischerviertel), with its canals, bridges, and wooden-framed houses. The city, birthplace of Albert Einstein, offers a peaceful atmosphere and all necessary services. In the Camino de Santiago, Ulm is an intermediate stage that combines the grandeur of Gothic architecture with the charm of its historic neighborhoods, a culturally and visually impactful stop on the route through Baden-Wurtemberg.
