Discover Albarracín
Although it represents a small deviation in some variants of the Camino de Sagunto, visiting Albarracín is an unforgettable and highly recommended experience. Considered unanimously as one of Spain's most beautiful towns, this medieval Turiolan villa is a National Monument. Its appearance is unique: a red-roofed village that surprisingly fits into the landscape of a rocky outcrop, surrounded by the Guadalaviar River and a formidable wall belt. For the pilgrim, getting lost in its narrow and steep streets, discovering its hanging houses, and admiring traditional architecture is a journey to another era. The Cathedral of Salvador and Castle are its main landmarks. The natural surroundings, in the Sierra de Albarracín, are equally spectacular. The village has an excellent tourist and gastronomic offer. It's a deviation that breaks the routine of the path and gives the walker an overwhelming dose of beauty, a magical place that will forever be etched in the memory of the pilgrimage.
