Discover Almuradiel

Almuradiel is a locality of Ciudad Real whose history is linked to the road. It was founded in the 18th century under the reign of Charles III as part of the colonization plan of Sierra Morena, with the aim of protecting the Despeñaperros pass. For the traveler, it represents the entrance to Andalusia. Its urban layout, straight and organized, is characteristic of New Settlements. Although it is a small nucleus, its strategic location on the southern highway gives it a role as a service center. It is a functional stop, ideal for a technical pause in the route, in a place that was born to provide safety and shelter to travelers.
