Discover Bolsena

Bolsena is a beautiful city on the shores of the homonymous lake, the largest volcanic origin in Europe. For the pilgrim of the Francigena Way, it is an important historical and spiritual stop. Here took place in 1263 the eucharistic miracle that gave rise to the Corpus Christi festival. The Collegiate of Saint Christina hosts the stones marked with the blood of the miracle. The city has a charming medieval quarter dominated by the Monaldeschi Castle. The walk along the lake offers a great tranquility. It is an ideal stop to enjoy the landscape, history and local cuisine, based on the fish from the lake.
