Calzada de Valdunciel

Calzada de Valdunciel is a Salamanca municipality whose identity is tied to the Vía de la Plata itself, as its name suggests. The locality sits on the ancient Roman road, and even today remnants of this ancient route can still be found, such as milestones and remains of the original pavement. For the pilgrim, walking here feels like experiencing history under their feet.
