Discover Castellón de la Plana

Castellón de la Plana, the capital of the province, is the starting point of the Camino de Santiago of Castellón, a route that ventures into the mountainous interior of Maestrazgo to connect with the Ebro Way. Starting the pilgrimage here is beginning with the light and breeze of the Mediterranean. The "zero kilometer" of the route is located in the hermitage of Sant Jaume de Fadrell, in full Castellonese orchard. Before departing, the pilgrim can explore the city center, with its Cathedral of Santa María and the "Fadrí", a singular exempt bell tower. The Plaza Mayor and Central Market are the heart of local life. Castellón is a great service center, perfect for the walker to prepare for the adventure.
