Fidenza is a town in the province of Parma whose visit is indispensable for pilgrims on the Francigena Way. Its fame comes from its magnificent Cathedral of San Donnino, one of Italy's masterpieces of Romanesque architecture. The façade, with statues of prophets and scenes depicting the life of the saint, was designed as a "Stone Bible" to instruct pilgrims. The temple's interior continues to awe with its beauty. The town, of Roman origin, also offers an enjoyable center and all necessary services for rest. It is a stop of deep artistic and spiritual significance, a milestone on the way to Rome.
