Hellín, an important city in the province of Albacete, is a key stop on the Camino del Sureste routes. It is worldwide known for its Holy Week and especially for its "Tamboradas", declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. For pilgrims, although traveling outside those dates, the city breathes the passion of this ancestral tradition. Hellín's heritage includes the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Holy Week Museum, which helps to understand the magnitude of the festival. Near the city is the Tolmo de Minateda, an important archaeological park with remains from the Iberians, Romans, and Visigoths. As the head of the comarca, Hellín offers all necessary services for a complete rest: hostels, accommodations, rich gastronomy, and commerce. It's an stage that allows to immerse in one of Spain's most vibrant traditions, a culturally intense experience on the long Jacobean journey from the east.
