Discover Lantz

Lantz is a small and picturesque Navarran village, one of the last stops on the Camino de Baztán before arriving at the Pamplona region. This locality is worldwide known for its ancestral and singular rural Carnival, one of the oldest in Europe. In it, characters like the outlaw Miel Otxin, Ziripot or the Zaldiko walk through the streets in a full of symbolism representation. Although the pilgrim does not coincide with these dates, the village's atmosphere is impregnated with this rich ethnographic tradition. For the Camino de Santiago walker, Lantz is a haven of peace. After the demanding descent of Belate port, this village offers a well-deserved rest in an authentic rural environment. Its traditional architecture, with stone cottages and two-water roofs, and its location in a small valley, create a cozy atmosphere. With basic services for the pilgrim, it's a stop that allows connecting with the popular culture more rooted in Navarre, an experience that enriches the pilgrimage with a touch of magic and tradition.
