Lugo de Llanera

Lugo de Llanera is an important parish of the municipality of Llanera, and a key stop on the Way of St James for pilgrims approaching Oviedo. Its origins date back to Roman times, when it was an important settlement along the road that connected Astorga with the Cantabrian coast. Today, it's a dynamic residential and industrial hub offering all necessary services to walkers. Although its character is modern, it preserves remnants of its past in Santa María Church.
