Discover Meira
Meira is an important stop on the Primitivo Way, a Lucense village with a great historical and natural legacy. Its main monument is the Monastery of Santa María de Meira, a Cistercian abbey from the 12th century whose imposing church is preserved. The locality is also famous for housing the Pedregal de Irimia, the official birthplace of Galicia's most important river, the Miño. For pilgrims, Meira is an stage that combines art, history and nature. With a good range of services and a tranquil atmosphere, it is an ideal place for an enriching break in the heart of Lugo province.
