Mombuey stands as a major historical and architectural stop on the Camino Sanabrés. This Zamoran village is easily recognizable by its spectacular Romanesque tower of Santa María church, a 13th-century construction attributed to the Order of the Temple that rises slender yet powerful. This temple is the heart of the locality and an unmissable visit to admire one of the best examples of Romanesque in the area. Mombuey, with its stone houses and traditional atmosphere, offers pilgrims a cozy refuge and all necessary services for rest. It's an stage that allows immersion into the history of military orders and spirituality on the path, in a rural environment of great authenticity.
