Monforte del Cid is a village in the province of Alicante, located in the fertile valley of the Vinalopó. It is one of the first stages of the Camino del Sureste for pilgrims departing from Alicante. The locality has an essentially agricultural economy, being famous for producing table grapes packed, with Denomination of Origin. Its old town preserves the Gothic church of Our Lady of the Snows and several houses. For the walker, Monforte del Cid offers a peaceful and functional stopover, with all necessary services.
