Discover O Milladoiro
O Milladoiro is the most populated town in the municipality of Ames and a key point on the Camino Portugués. Its name comes from the word "humilladoiro", the place where pilgrims knelt on first making out the towers of the Cathedral of Santiago as they crested the climb. Today it is a modern area, with every service, on the final stage of the Camino: from here it is about five kilometres to the Obradoiro.
