The Town

Discover Priverno

Priverno is a historic town in the province of Latina, with a past dating back to ancient Roman Privernum. For pilgrims on the Southern Via Francigena, it is one of the last major stops before Rome. Its main square hosts the Town Hall and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata. The proximity of the Fossanova Abbey makes it an ideal starting or ending point for visiting this important monument. The town offers a genuine atmosphere of central Italy, with services for rest. It is a stage to enjoy local history and prepare for the final leg towards Eternal City.
