For pilgrims starting in Palencia, this locality offers a significant center for services and a rich historical legacy. Its Old Square, with its wooden and stone arches, is one of the most beautiful in the province and transports the traveler to medieval times. The village was the birthplace of counts and an important nucleus in the history of Castile.
