Sorde-l'Abbaye

Sorde-l'Abbaye is a small locality in the Landes region that preserves an important Jacobean heritage. Its Saint-Jean Abbey, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is a magnificent example of Romanesque architecture with a notable mosaic inside. Situated at the confluence of the rivers (gaves) of Pau and Oloron, it offers a natural environment of great beauty.
