Yecla is the main town of the Murcian high plain, an important industrial center and above all a prestigious wine region with its own Denomination of Origin, famous for its Monastrell grape wines. For the pilgrim, it's a gastronomic and cultural stop of first order. Its heritage includes the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, with its singular dome, and the Castle Sanctuary. The town offers an animated atmosphere, a complete range of services, and the possibility of visiting its cellars. It's an ideal stage for a comfortable rest, to enjoy the wine culture and local cuisine, such as "libricos" and "gazpachos yeclanos".
