Stage Description
Leaving behind the monumental Cordoba, this stage marks the beginning of the ascent to Sierra Morena. It is a transitional day that leaves the flat plain of the countryside for a landscape of low mountains and heathland. The route is a continuous and demanding climb, especially in its final stretch. The pilgrim can enjoy spectacular views of the city of Cordoba as they gain height. Arrival at Villaharta, a town with a past as a spa resort, offers well-deserved rest in a mountainous setting.
