Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
This stage marks the entry into the Region of Murcia. The route is completely flat and follows the valley of the River Segura, through a landscape of orchards. It's a transition day that unites two important historical capitals. Arrival in Murcia, the region's capital, with its spectacular Baroque cathedral, lively old town, and rich gastronomy, is a monumental reward.
This stage enters the Gascony region, a land of hills and fields of cultivation. The route is demanding, with an undulating profile and continuous climbs and descents. Arrival in Auch, the capital of Gascony, with its imposing Cathedral of Saint Mary and Monumental Staircase, is a culturally rich final stage. It's a stage that requires good physical preparation but rewards with spectacular landscapes.
