Stage Description

This is one of the longest stages at the end of the Camino Francés, an authentic nightmare with continuous ups and downs. The path traverses a beautiful landscape, with forests, rivers, and villages. It's a strenuous journey, but very rewarding. Arrival in Arzúa, land of cheese, is a gastronomic final stage. This stage puts the pilgrim to the test, but rewards with the beauty of the landscape and the flavors of Galicia.
The Palas de Rei to Arzúa stage is one of the longest in the final stretch of the French Way, a 29km journey that traverses a beautiful landscape. The path starts at Palas de Rei (550m) and follows an undulating profile with a gentle overall descent towards Arzúa (380m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with forests, rivers, and villages. It is a demanding walk due to its length, but it rewards with the beauty of its scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. Arrival in Arzúa, land of cheese, is a gastronomic endpoint. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich gastronomic experience, a perfect balance on the French Way.
