The last stage of the Via Turonensis. The road passes through the last hills of French Basque Country before arriving at the mythical Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. It is a beautiful and emotional journey, with the Pyrenees as the backdrop. The arrival in Saint-Jean, with its fortress, walls, and pilgrim atmosphere, is the end of this great French route and the starting point of the Camino Francés in Spain. The final stage of the Via Turonensis is a 22 km journey that ends in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. The road starts from Ostabat (150 m) and follows an undulating profile, with a gentle ascent to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (170 m). The route passes through the last hills of French Basque Country, with the Pyrenees as a backdrop. It is a pleasant walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the excitement of arrival.
