Brededuo to Grandas de Salime

The stage connecting Berducedo with Grandas de Salime is one of the most spectacular visually on the Primitivo Way. Although it's not excessively long, its profile is very demanding, especially during the descent to the reservoir. The journey begins in Berducedo and, after a small incline, reaches the Alto do Buspol, a natural lookout point from which breathtaking views of Grandas de Salime Reservoir can be obtained. The image of turquoise water nestled between green mountains is unforgettable. From this point on, the day's true test begins: a steep descent that saves a difference in elevation of more than 600 meters. The path is a narrow trail with a very strong slope, which puts the knees to the test and requires the use of walking sticks. Despite the difficulty, the views during the descent are incredibly beautiful. The path ends at the road leading to the reservoir dam. After crossing it, the effort has not ended yet, since there remains the final ascent of the day, on asphalt with a considerable slope, to reach Grandas de Salime. Its Colegiata of El Salvador and its magnificent Ethnographic Museum well deserve a visit.
