Stage Description
This is a mountain stage that climbs to the Hörnli, over 1,100 meters in altitude. It's one of the most demanding but also most rewarding stages of the Jacob's Way, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Alps and lakes. The route passes through a pre-alpine landscape of great beauty. Arrival in Gibswil, a village in the Oberland of Zurich, is a well-deserved rest after the hard ascent. A stage for mountain lovers.
The Fischingen to Gibswil stage is a 14.8 km journey that ascends to the Hörnli. The trail starts at Fischingen (610 m) and follows an ascending profile, with continuous ascent towards Gibswil (757 m). The route traverses a beautiful landscape, with oak and beech forests, offering panoramic views of the valley. It is an demanding walk that requires good physical preparation. Arrival in Gibswil, a village in Zurich's Oberland, is well-deserved rest. This stage combines a great physical challenge with total immersion in nature and spirituality.
