The Flüeli-Ranft to Brienz stage is a spectacular Alpine traverse of 20.5 kilometers that includes passing through the historic Brünigpass. The route starts from the sanctuary of Flüeli-Ranft (750 m) and begins an demanding ascent through forests and mountain meadows. The climb up the Brünigpass (1008 m), a mountain pass connecting the cantons of Obwalden and Bern, is the major challenge of the journey, offering breathtaking views of Alpine peaks and surrounding valleys. Once the summit is reached, a long and pronounced descent towards Lake Brienz begins. This section of the route is exceptional in beauty, with the turquoise color of the lake as a backdrop. The arrival in Brienz (566 m), a charming town famous for its wooden carvings and traditional houses, is a perfect finale.
