Stage Description
This short and pleasant stage continues along the Camino Francés route. The journey is a continuous rise and fall through rural Galicia. Arrival in Melide, land of the octopus, is a gastronomic endpoint. It's a day to enjoy the company of other pilgrims and the flavors of Galicia.
The Palas de Rei to Melide stage is a short 15 km journey that continues along the Camino Francés route. The path starts at Palas de Rei (550 m) and follows a mostly descending profile, with some undulations, until the town of Melide (450 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with forests and meadows. It is a peaceful and easy walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and arrive in time to explore the destination town. Arrival at Melide, the land of the octopus, is a gastronomic endpoint. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich gastronomic experience, a perfect balance on the Primitivo Way.
