Stage Description
Cycle-touring stage that leaves Mérida (a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Roman monumental ensemble: theatre, amphitheatre, circus, aqueduct…) heading north through the district of the Vegas Bajas del Guadiana. Its 60 km or so run through endless Extremaduran dehesa, over predominantly flat terrain. Valdesalor is a small village in the province of Cáceres with an agricultural and livestock tradition.
