Stage Description
This stage of the Calzada de los Blendios is a long and spectacular descent from Cantabrian mountains to Castilian plain. The road largely follows the course of the Besaya River. It's an demanding journey for knees but very rewarding due to its forest and river gorge landscapes. Arrival in Carrión de los Condes, an important Jacobean center with a rich heritage, is a cultural reward.
