Leaving behind the capital of the Landes, this long stage continues through a landscape of hills and fields of cultivation. The terrain becomes more undulating, leaving behind the forested plain. It is an demanding journey due to its distance. Arrival in Hagetmau, a town with a Romanesque crypt and a tradition in seat-making, is a well-deserved rest. It is a transitional stage that brings the pilgrim closer to the Pyrenees.
The stage from Mont-de-Marsan to Hagetmau is a 33-kilometer long journey that enters the Chalosse region. The path starts at Mont-de-Marsan (63 m) and follows an undulating profile, with a gentle ascent towards Hagetmau (110 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with hills, forests and cultivated fields. It is an demanding walk due to its length, but it rewards with the beauty of its scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings.
