Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
This is a short and flat stage that continues along Don Quixote's route. The landscape is that of the Manchegan plain, with its vineyards and cereal fields. It is a transition day, allowing for relaxed walking. Arrival in Quintanar de la Orden, an important Toledan town with great tradition and rich heritage, marks the end of the day. Its Santiago de la Espada church and hermitages are of great interest.
The stage that connects El Toboso with Quintanar de la Orden is a short and very favorable profile stage. The route continues to run through the Manchegan plain, in a landscape of vineyards and fields of grain. It's an enjoyable stage to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and the light of La Mancha. Arrival at Quintanar de la Orden, already in the province of Toledo, is the end of the stage. This important village, with great agricultural tradition, has an interesting heritage. Its parish church, dedicated to St. James Apostle, testifies its connection with the Order of Santiago. Also of interest are its hermitages and their sun-drenched houses. It's a functional stop and with a large atmosphere of a Manchego town.
