Stage Description
This stage is a short mountainous stretch that serves as an introduction to the Royal Stage of the Hospitals. The profile is undulating, with continuous ups and downs through a landscape of forests and meadows. The route passes through small Asturian villages. The destination is Borres, a small village that is the starting point of the mythical Route of the Hospitals. It's a stage for toning forces and preparing for the big challenge of the next day.
This stage continues through the Pinares region, on a route of great beauty and solitude. The path traverses a landscape of pine forests and rocky outcrops, with spectacular views. Arrival at Santo Domingo de Silos, one of Spain's most important spiritual centers, is a monumental final stage. It is a journey that requires good physical effort, but rewards with unforgettable landscapes.
