Stage Description

This stage continues through the Segovian countryside, on a flat and beautiful terrain. The landscape is dominated by extensive pine forests that offer pleasant stretches of shade. It's a comfortable day that allows for relaxed walking. The route passes through a rural and tranquil environment. The grand highlight of the journey is arrival at the village of Coca, famous for housing one of Spain's most spectacular castles. Its imposing brick castle in Gothic-Mudéjar style is a fairy-tale fortress and an unmissable visit.
The journey between Santa María la Real de Nieva and Coca is an enjoyable stroll through the Segovian Pinewood Country. The profile is very favorable, practically flat, allowing for a comfortable walk with little effort. The landscape changes, and fields of cereal give way to extensive and leafy pine resin forests that offer pleasant shade throughout most of the route. The path runs along forest trails and quiet local roads in an atmosphere of great peace. Passes through small towns such as Nava de la Asunción. Arrival at Coca is the culmination of the day. This village is famous for its spectacular castle, considered a masterpiece of Spanish Gothic-Mudéjar architecture. Built entirely in brick, its moat, towers, and battlements seem to be taken from a tale. A visit to the castle is an unforgettable experience. Additionally, Coca has other attractions, such as its walls and the church of Santa María. It's a perfect end to the stage for history and architecture enthusiasts.
