Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
This is the first part of the penultimate stage of the Camino. It's a short and gentle day with soft undulations that mostly run along forest trails through eucalyptus forests. This stage is meant to be a rest day to recharge forces and enjoy camaraderie in the atmosphere. The arrival at the small village of Salceda offers a peaceful final stage in a rural setting.
The stage between Arzúa and Salceda is a short and very favorable profile, ideal for those who want to divide the penultimate stage into two. The route runs through a beautiful landscape, through eucalyptus forests and meadows. It's a stage to enjoy the tranquility of Galician countryside and growing excitement about approaching Santiago. Arrival at the small village of Salceda marks the end of the stage. It is a quiet place with several hostels and restaurants, perfect for a restorative break before the final day of walking.
