Aldeanueva del Camino is a historic village in the Ambroz Valley with a particularity: it is divided into two by the ancient Roman road of the Via Plata. This Cáceres town offers a pilgrim an privileged natural environment and a rich heritage. Its Roman bridges, the Jewish quarter and traditional architecture of its houses are some of its attractions. The village is an important center for services in the valley, with a good range of accommodation and restaurants to enjoy local cuisine. Its location, surrounded by beech and oak forests, makes it an ideal stopover for rest and enjoying the abundant nature of northern Extremadura before tackling the ascent towards Castile and León.
