The Town

Discover Borres

Borres is a humble but crucial village on the route of the Primitivo Way. This small rural settlement has become a key turning point for pilgrims. From here, the route splits into two: the historic and challenging "Route of the Hospitals", which traverses high mountain zones, deserted but breathtakingly beautiful, recommended only in good weather; and the official route that descends to Pola de Allande, longer but with more services. Borres, with its hostel and authentic mountain Asturian atmosphere, is the place to take a final breath, check the weather, and choose the adventure for the next day, marking a turning point in the experience of the oldest Camino.
