Its landscape, known as the "valley of the orange trees", offers pilgrims on the Mozárabe Way an environment of great beauty and fertility. The locality boasts a rich heritage tied to water, such as its fountains and mills, and its mining past. The Church of Santa María and the remains of an Arab castle are its main landmarks. For the walker, Gador is a peaceful and well-equipped stop, ideal for enjoying the valley's microclimate, tasting its citrus fruits, and recharging one's strength. It is an immersion in traditional Almería before the demanding mountain stages.
