Mora de Rubielos, capital of the Gúdar-Javalambre comarca, is a monumental stop on the Camino de Sagunto. The village is dominated by the imposing figure of its Castillo-Palacio of the Fernández de Heredia, one of the best examples of Gothic-Mediterranean architecture in Aragon. For pilgrims, visiting this fortress is a journey back to the time of feudal lords. Mora's old town preserves a great charm, with the Ex-collegiata of Saint Mary from the 14th century and several medieval bridges. The locality, nestled in a mountainous environment by the river Mora, offers a beautiful landscape and a tranquil atmosphere.
