Torija, a small village in the Alcarria region, is a major historical stop for pilgrims walking the Way of the Wool or the Mendocino Way. Its profile is unmistakably dominated by its imposing medieval castle, a 15th-century fortress magnificently restored that now houses the Provincial Tourist Interpretation Centre and a museum dedicated to Camilo José Cela's book "A Journey to Alcarria".
