It's a day to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. The arrival in Vilarinho, a small village in a rural setting, is an authentic end of stage. It's a transitional day that brings the pilgrim closer to the destination of Santiago.
The Oporto to Vilarinho stage is a 27 km journey that ventures into Portuguese countryside. The route starts in Oporto (10 m) and follows an undulating profile with a gentle ascent towards Vilarinho (80 m). The route traverses a beautiful landscape, with forests and fields of cultivation. It's a demanding walk due to its length, but it rewards with the beauty of its scenery and the tranquility of its surroundings.
