Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
Stage through the high plateau of Soria, region of Moncayo. The about 20 km run through the austere and elevated landscape (over 1,000 m altitude) characteristic of the cold Soria, with junipers, cereal fields and wide views of the Moncayo. Pozalmuro is a small rural town in the Moncayo region of Soria with a livestock tradition and traditional stone architecture. A stage of great solitude and silence in one of the most unpopulated regions of Spain.
This stage is a journey to the heart of Don Quixote's La Mancha. The route is flat and runs through a landscape of vineyards and olive groves. Arrival in Pozalmuro, a small village in a rural setting, is an authentic end-of-stage stop. It's a day to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and universal literature.
