Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
A stage through the region of La Manchuela in Albacete, one of the least known but most interesting wine-growing areas of Castilla-La Mancha. The 22 km pass through vineyards, almond trees and cereal fields in an undulating landscape. Casas Ibáñez is the capital of La Manchuela, with its wine-growing tradition, centenary wineries and traditional Manchegan architecture.
The first stage of the Camino del Norte is one of the most beautiful and demanding. The route ascends to Mount Jaizkibel, offering stunning views of the Cantabrian Sea and the Basque coast. After a technical descent, the route reaches the picturesque port of Pasaia, crossed by a small boat. The final stretch is an enjoyable coastal walk that ends in the spectacular Bay of La Concha and the elegant city of San Sebastián. It's an unforgettable mountain and sea day.
