Stage Description
This stage ventures into western Asturias, offering a medium-difficulty route through undulating terrain. The route passes by the village of Grado before tackling the climb to Alto de la Doriga. An important milestone is passing through the Monastery of San Salvador in Cornellana. The route combines sections on local roads with paths between forests. Arrival at the medieval town of Salas, with its imposing defensive tower and collegiate church, is the crowning glory of a rich historical and natural heritage journey.
