Stage Description
A long stage through the Creuse valley, in the Berry region known as the 'Vallée des Peintres' for having been the setting of the Crozant impressionist school. The roughly 37 km run through the spectacular Creuse valley, a landscape of gorges, woodland and traditional villages. Gargilesse-Dampierre is one of the 'Plus Beaux Villages de France', linked to the novelist George Sand, who had her summer residence here.
