Arpino - Roccasecca

This is a transitional phase, with little height differences, that unites two of the greatest intellectual figures in Western history: Cicero and Thomas Aquinas. The landscape smooths out as we approach the valley of the Liri River. Arrival at Roccasecca, Thomas's birthplace, is dominated by the ruins of his castle. It's a journey of historical connection, a bridge between classical antiquity and medieval philosophy.
