Stage Description
Stage through the eastern mountains of Lugo after the descent from O Cebreiro. The 13 km run through the Navia valley with a descending profile and forests of chestnut and oak trees. Becerreá is the capital of the region of Os Ancares, natural park and biosphere reserve, land of the last brown bear and pastoral tradition. Transition stage towards the interior of Lugo.
The Olveiroa to Muxía stage is a 32km journey that takes the pilgrim to the Virgin of the Barque sanctuary. The route starts from Olveiroa (300m) and follows a mostly descending profile, with some undulations, until the town of Muxía (10m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with forests and meadows. It is a peaceful and easy walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and arrive in time to explore the destination town. Arrival at Muxía, a coastal village with a sanctuary in an enchanting setting, is a stage finale with special charm. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, achieving a perfect balance on the Fisterra and Muxía Way.
