The last stage of the Via Lemovicensis. The road passes through the last hills of French Basque Country before arriving at the mythical Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. It is a journey of great beauty and emotion, with the Pyrenees as the backdrop. Arrival in Saint-Jean, with its citadel, walls, and pilgrim atmosphere, marks the end of this great French route and the starting point of the Camino Francés in Spain. An unforgettable ending to a long adventure.
The final stage of the Via Lemovicensis is a 22km journey that ends in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. The trail starts from Ostabat (150m) and follows an undulating profile, with a gentle ascent to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (170m). The route passes through the last hills of French Basque Country, with the Pyrenees as the backdrop. It is a pleasant walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the excitement of arrival.
