Stage Description

Descent stage to the Bierzo. From Brañuelas, in the mining basin, the route descends to the Sil valley passing through railway and mining villages. The 18 km have a descending profile with demanding sections. Bembibre is one of the main towns of Bierzo Alto, with an urban center linked to the railroad and mining, and the traditional nerve center of the region before Ponferrada.
The stage from Hospital of Bruma to Sigüeiro is a 25km journey that gently descends into the Tambre River valley. The route starts at Hospital de Bruma (450m) and follows a predominantly descending profile, with some undulations, until the town of Sigüeiro (250m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with forests and meadows. It is a peaceful and easy walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and arrive in time to explore the destination town. Sigüeiro, a village on the banks of the Tambre River, is a serene final stage. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the English Way.
