This stage continues through the mountains of Asturias on a route of great beauty and demand. The trail ascends to the Puerto del Palo, the highest point of the Primitivo Way. It is a high mountain day with spectacular scenery. Arrival at La Mesa, a small village in a rural setting, is a tranquil final stage. It's a day that requires good physical preparation but rewards with unforgettable landscapes.
The stage from Pola de Allande to La Mesa is a 22km journey that continues through the mountains of Asturias. The route starts in Pola de Allande (500m) and follows an ascending profile, with the climb up Palo Port as the main challenge. The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with oak and beech forests. It's an demanding walk that requires good physical preparation. Arrival at La Mesa (900m), a small village in a rural setting, is a peaceful final stage.
