Stage Description

This stage is a spectacular descent to Salime Dam. The path crosses a beautiful landscape with stunning views of the dam and mountains. It's a journey to enjoy nature and the solitude of the road. Arrival at Grandas de Salime, a village with an interesting ethnographic museum, is well-deserved rest. It's a journey that requires good physical effort but rewards with unforgettable landscapes.
The stage from La Mesa to Grandas de Salime is a 17km journey that descends towards the Salime reservoir. The route starts at La Mesa (900m) and follows a mainly descending profile, with some undulations, until the town of Grandas de Salime (500m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with spectacular views of the reservoir and the mountains. It is a peaceful and easy walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and arrive in time to explore the destination town. Grandas de Salime, with an interesting ethnographic museum, is one of the most interesting stops on the Primitivo Way. It's an stage that combines gentle exercise with rich cultural experience, the perfect balance on the Primitivo Way.
