Stage Description
This stage enters the Vega Baja of the Segura River valley. The profile is completely flat. The landscape is an immense orchard, a mosaic of fields irrigated by the Segura River. It's a day to enjoy the fertility of this land. Arrival in Albatera, an important agricultural town, offers a peaceful and authentic final stage.
This stage enters the Gascony region, a land of hills and fields of cultivation. The route is demanding, with an undulating profile and continuous ups and downs. Arrival in Auch, Gascony's capital, with its imposing Cathedral of Saint Mary and Monumental Staircase, is a culturally rich endpoint. This stage requires good physical preparation but rewards with spectacular landscapes.
